Your baby can start yoga classes at the age of 2.5 months old so long as the neck strength is developed. These early sessions focus on gentle movements and bonding activities that cater to the developmental needs of infants. Introducing your baby to yoga at a young age can enhance their physical development, improve motor skills, and foster a sense of calm and relaxation. Our age-specific classes ensure that activities are tailored to suit the abilities and growth stages of each child, providing a safe and nurturing environment for them to explore and develop new skills.

What should my baby wear to a yoga class?

For a comfortable and enjoyable yoga session, your baby should wear loose, stretchy clothing that allows for easy movement. Soft, flexible outfits such as onesies, leggings, and t-shirts are ideal, as they provide the freedom to move without restrictions. Additionally, consider bringing a small blanket or towel for your baby to lie on during floor exercises and 1-2 toys.

Do I need to participate with my child during the class?

Yes, parent participation is a key component of our baby yoga classes. Engaging in the activities alongside your baby not only enhances the bonding experience but also ensures that your child feels supported and encouraged. For Tots Yoga and Kids Yoga Classes, parent participation is not fully required.

Are Baby and Kids Yoga classes safe?

Generally, Baby and Kids Yoga classes are designed with safety as a top priority. We have certified instructors leading our classes, and they have extensive experience and training in working with infants and young children. They ensure that all activities are age-appropriate and tailored to the developmental stages of the babies in the class. The movements and exercises are gentle and non-strenuous, focusing on enhancing your child’s natural development without causing any strain.

How many babies are there in each class?

Our Baby Yoga classes are intentionally kept small to ensure personalised attention and a focused environment. Typically, each class consists of a small group of babies, allowing the instructor to provide individualised guidance and support. This intimate setting fosters a closer connection between the instructor, parents, and babies, enhancing the overall experience.

Can Baby Yoga help with sleep issues?

While this may be on a case-to-case basis, typically, Baby Yoga can help with promoting better quality sleep. The gentle movements and stretches practised in Baby Yoga classes help to relax your baby’s body and mind, promoting a sense of calmness that can lead to better sleep. Breathing exercises included in the sessions also aid in soothing your baby, reducing restlessness and making it easier for them to fall asleep.

Will Baby Yoga help with colic or gas?

Baby Yoga could help with colic and gas issues in babies. The gentle stretching and movements performed during yoga sessions can aid with digestion and discomfort associated with gas. Specific poses and exercises are designed to stimulate the baby’s digestive system, promoting the release of trapped gas and addressing colic symptoms.

Physical activity in yoga also encourages regular bowel movements, which can help with constipation and associated discomfort.
