AQUA
PREGNANCY
Aqua Pregnancy is a great maternity workout that prioritizes the lengthening of the lower back and toning of the pelvic ligaments and leg muscles. Not only does it promote balance, deep breathing and relaxation for your body, with less weight bearing burden on the joints, spine or pelvic joints, you will also learn to gain control of your pelvic floor muscles to facilitate your brith. Conducted in heated water, the exercises help to provide relief from aches and discomforts too. This class is suitable for pregnant mothers at least 12 weeks into their pregnancy, for both swimmers and non-swimmers.

PRENATAL
PILATES
Prenatal Pilates is an ideal exercise for expecting mothers as they improve core muscles, balance and stamina. Workouts are designed with an emphasis on strengthening abdominal, lower back and pelvic floor muscles — areas that experience more stresses during pregnancy. A stronger core can enable your body to easily cope with the increasing weight as the baby grows, while stronger pelvic floor muscles are more resistant to tears during labour. Other benefits of Prenatal Pilates include reduction in back pain, lower risk of postnatal Diastasis Recti and reduced risk of sciatica.
|

PRENATAL
YOGA
Prenatal Yoga is beneficial to both the mind and body, reducing pregnancy discomforts, building strength and flexibility while learning breathing techniques that can help you with your labour. Other benefits include reduced swelling and inflammation around joints, toning of pelvic floor and better control of your body’s tension for a smoother delivery process. Held in a small group class, movements can be tailored to your needs, depending on which trimester you are in, your physical condition and comfort.
|

PRENATAL COUPLE YOGA
Aside from imparting the benefits that prenatal yoga has, prenatal couple yoga takes it a step further by offering benefits such as encouraging a supportive and involved pregnancy for couples. The exercises seek to build a deeper connection as a couple, strengthen the communication and intimacy between the two, as well as cultivate emotional and physical support in your journey of partnership and parenthood. With your birth partner’s active involvement needed throughout the practice, it can help to increase their confidence in their ability to support their partner’s birthing process too.

WATSU® FOR PREGNANCY
A form of Aqua therapy, WATSU® comprises of a series of stretches, twists and massages in the water to induce a state of deep relaxation, easing away tension and discomforts, and doubling as a form of pain relief. Movements are tailored for each individual after understanding their needs and discomforts. The deep relaxation and free-floating state allows for a deeper stretch, facilitating the opening of the pelvis and the creation of inner space for the baby, which can help the baby to get into an optimal position for birth. Suitable for expecting mothers at least 12 weeks into their pregnancy.

MYOFASCIAL
RELEASE
A gentle massage and movement therapy, Myofascial release can help to address pregnancy discomforts such as fluid retention, restricted mobility and decreased circulation, while simultaneously relieving discomforts from pain and tension. It targets the Fascia which is a type of connective tissue with nerves that wraps around to protect the structures within our body. By focusing on this tissue, it can decrease muscle tension and aches from pregnancy, while improving your blood circulation and postural alignment to facilitate your labour process among other benefits.
